Who We Are

The Dumb Friends League Veterinary Hospital at CSU Spur offers donor-subsidized services for sick and injured pets whose owners need help with the cost of necessary medical care. Our mission is to prevent and alleviate suffering in pets and to keep families together.

Who We Serve

Out of respect for our clients and out of concern of creating barriers when documentation is challenging, we serve our clients on an honor system. If you can otherwise afford to provide care for your pet, please obtain that care from one of the excellent veterinarians in our community. Care received at this hospital is made possible by generous donations from our compassionate community.

Services

We offer urgent care services for owned cats and dogs by appointment, including non-elective surgery and dentistry. Same day appointments are available. Please call in advance to schedule 303.722.5800.

Wellness services and preventative care are not currently offered.

Referring Veterinarians

If you have a client that cannot afford the necessary surgical procedure for an urgent condition, please call us in advance so that we can direct your client to the best time to come in. Our doctors will examine the pet then recommend a treatment plan, which may or may not include surgery. We appreciate receiving all medical records prior to their visit.

Please note: We do not staff specialists and have a limited scope of care. We do not provide internal or external fracture repair, ligament repair or medical management of chronic disease processes, such as diabetes. We also do not hospitalize critical care patients and do not have overnight staff.
