Animal Assistance Foundation’s generosity has improved animals’ lives across the state. Most recently, Animal Assistance Foundation has supported the Dumb Friends League San Luis Valley Animal Center, which will provide care for lost, stray, abandoned and unwanted pets in an area where these services are desperately needed.

The Dumb Friends League is a proud recipient of funding from Maddie’s Fund®, #ThanksToMaddie.

Maddie’s Fund® is a family foundation established in 1994 by Dave and Cheryl Duffield and is the fulfillment of a promise to an inspirational dog, Maddie. She provided them much joy from 1987 – 1997 and continues to inspire them today.

The Foundation has awarded over $265 million in grants toward increased community lifesaving, pioneering shelter medicine education and establishing foster care as a standard across the U.S.

Maddie’s Fund proudly offers the industry a national voice, important funding opportunities for bold ideas, learning resources and access to collaborate and share innovative solutions. Petco Love is a national nonprofit leading change for pets by harnessing the power of love to make communities and pet families closer, stronger, and healthier. Since its founding in 1999, Petco Love has invested $300 million in adoption and other lifesaving efforts.

PetSmart Charities has supported several Dumb Friends League programs that have increased adoptions, community access to affordable veterinary care and our capacity to significantly impact cat overpopulation in the Denver metropolitan area. Most recently PetSmart Charities has helped keep pets in homes when their owners may not otherwise be able to afford treatment by supporting subsidized care at the Dumb Friends League Solutions – Veterinary Hospital.

The Rachael Ray FoundationTM is helping the Dumb Friends League Solutions – Veterinary Hospital meet a vital need in our Denver community for low-cost veterinary care.

Vera and Joseph Dresner Foundation is making a profound impact at the Dumb Friends League through their support of the Building a Better Way Home behavior area renovation and construction project.
